Intermediate Algebra (3450:100)

TEXT: The University of Akron Custom Edition of Intermediate Algebra, Marvin L. Bittinger, Tenth Edition; Addison Wesley Publication.

CALCULATORS: While not required, students will be allowed to use calculators functionally equivalent to the TI82, TI83+, or TI84 on homework, quizzes, and tests. The use of calculators with more operations is not allowed.

The following CODE OF CONDUCT is in place for students in Intermediate Algebra:
Inappropriate classroom behavior

  • Arriving to class late or leaving class early without prior approval of your instructor
  • Having private conversations, even about math
  • Disrespectful treatment of instructor/other students
  • Using electronic devices such as cell phones or pagers

Violations of this Code will (when appropriate) be immediately referred to the Office of Student Conduct.

Additionally, students who do not comply with federal, state, and university policies will be reported to the Office of Student Conduct. Any acts of academic dishonesty will also result in an immediate failure of the class.
