Duties: Counsel and advise (in-person, phone and email) students, parents, future students and university community with diverse expertise in enrollment services (financial aid, student accounts, student records, admissions and registration). Employ professional judgment and independent decision-making skills to meet students’ services needs. Manage all service-related inquiries (phone, fax, email, mail and web) using professional counseling techniques and client-focused service methods. Analyze status of student records and accounts using in-depth knowledge of university policies and procedures. Resolve complex problems and implement crisis intervention strategies. Manage conflicts, resolve complaints, and document causes and solutions. Work with appropriate staff to develop prevention strategies. Act as a liaison with the various colleges and departments. Provide support to enrollment services offices during peak periods. Assist with the daily activities of the center while performing various administrative tasks and functions. Provide assistance with the design, development and implementation of (educational) programs for students and other constituents. Assist with coordinating pro-active service efforts to improve student retention. Assist with design, development and implementation of web, phone and other technology based self-service tools. Serve as a mentor to newly hired specialists. Supervise and train student assistants. Assist with setting goals, objectives and monitoring process of Student Services Center. Assist in coordinating Student Services Center training programs. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Requires 18 months of education or training beyond high school and four years experience in at least one of the following: Student Accounts, Collections, Financial Aid, Student Records, Admissions and/or Registration. Strong problem solving, computer and communication skills required. Ability to work effectively with a wide range of individuals and a diverse community required. Peoplesoft experience preferred.
