Job Detail

Duties: Develop and implement ticket sales strategies for groups and organizations that are targeted prospects for purchasing season and single game tickets to select University of Akron athletic events including football, men and women’s basketball and men’s soccer. Sales will be developed and solicited through in person connections with individuals, organizations and groups. Director of Ticket Sales will be responsible for researching and identifying prospective customers, making connections, cultivating relationships, soliciting and fulfillment of sales. Director of Ticket Sales will work in conjunction with the Athletics Marketing department to sell theme nights and ticket packages to select events. Oversight and management of the following staff positions: Assistant Director of Ticket Sales and Graduate/Student Assistant(s) for Ticket Sales (as applicable). Budgetary responsibilities include responsibility for working with the Executive Senior Associate Athletics Director to establish and present a balanced budget prior to each fiscal year and responsible for the submission of monthly Commission Sales reports for Ticket Sales Unit and applicable employees.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and one year ticket sales experience required.
