Degree Distribution Requirements

3450:221 Analytical Geometry Calculus I (4 cr) is recommended for students pursuing professional or graduate school.
A minimum of 40 credits in biology is necessary to qualify for a B.S. degree. The minimum of 19 credits past the biology core curriculum to satisfy this requirement must be at the 300/400 level.
Additional courses in biology or other sciences are usually necessary to satisfy the admission requirements of graduate and professional schools for advanced work and professional studies.
128 credits are required to graduate; 47 Buchtel College of Arts & Sciences upper level credits required to graduate.
7700:101, 102, 201, 202 and 222 may be substituted for Modern Language (35xx) courses.
The following credit hour requirements apply to this degree: 128 minimum total credits; 32 credits in residence; the final 32 credits must be taken from The University of Akron.
