Degree Distribution Requirements
This curriculum guide is a recommended plan of study. Students with questions about degree requirements should contact an academic advisor.
Student must obtain a grade of C- or better in all required chemistry courses. If a grade of less than C- is obtained in a required chemistry course, the student must successfully repeat the course within a year.
9871:402 Introduction to Plastics can be substituted for 9871:401 Introduction to Elastomers.
9871:499 Research Problems Polymer Sci must be taken for 3 credit hours. Guide displays the minimum course hours of 1 credit.
7700:101, 102, 201, 202 and 222 may be substituted for Modern Languages: Any 35xx courses.
This degree is certified by The American Chemical Society.
128 credits are required to graduate; 47 Buchtel College of Arts & Sciences upper level credits required to graduate.
The following credit hour requirements apply to this degree: 128 minimum total credits; 32 credits in residence; the final 32 credits must be taken from The University of Akron.
