First Year and Second Year: Typically an approved associate degree in Manufacturing Technology or other associate degree program with bridgework. Required bridgework: Completion of an associate degree program in engineering, science or business technology (or related) or the first 2 years of a bachelor degree program with a minimum 2.0 GPA; completed 2880:241 Introduction to Quality Assurance or equivalent with minimum C grade; completed 2880:110 Manufacturing Processes or equivalent with minimum C grade; completed 2870:348 CNC Programming I or equivalent with minimum C grade.
3300:112 English Comp II may be substituted for 2020:222 Technical Report Writing.
3750:100 Introduction to Psychology may be substituted for 2040:240 Human Relations.
Student is urged to consult The University of Akron Bulletin and General Education requirements to ensure that all graduation requirements are met. Students enter the Bachelor of Science AMET program from different associate degree programs and may have different Gen Ed requirements remaining. If General Education "Science" requirements have not been met, student should select a science course that meets these requirements. 7600:105 (106) or 2040:247, whichever remains as a requirement (see adviser).
