Degree Distribution Requirements
This curriculum guide is a recommended plan of study. Students with questions about degree requirements should contact an academic advisor.
The sequence is designed for LPNs who completed a practical nursing curriculum, as well as LPNs with a bachelor's degree in an area other than nursing. The BSN track for LPNs begins every spring semester (January). Students must maintain a minimum of 2.75 GPA in prerequisites and a 2.75 in the sciences. Students will be ranked by their science average and admitted until seats are full. The number of available seats may fluctuate from year to year.
Admission into the BSN for the LPN program is dependent upon many factors, including the completion of required prerequisite courses. Visit the School of Nursing website for more information: http://www.uakron.edu/nursing/
8200:409/509 International Nursing may be substituted for 8200:325 Cultural Dimensions in Nursing.
Students may test out of 8200:211 Found of Nursing Practice I.
The following credit hour requirements apply to this degree: 130 minimum total credits; 32 credits in residence; the final 32 credits must be taken from The University of Akron.
