2040:256 Diversity in American Society, 2040:258 The Black Experience 1954-Present, or 2040:257 The Black Experience 1877-1954 may be substituted for 2040:254 The Black Experience 1619-1877.
2740 and 2780 courses must be taken in this sequence to complete the program in two years. In addition to permission from the Program Director, the student must have completed all 2740 & 2780 coursework listed above in the first three semesters and have at least a 2.0 GPA in the 2740 courses and 2.0 overall GPA.
