Disability Services for Military Students and Veterans The Office of Accessibility (OA) supports military students and veterans by providing a well-resourced and accessible academic and social environment. The OA will assist military personnel and veterans through the provision of reasonable accommodations in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 as well as a variety of support services. The University of Akron is also a Service members Opportunity College (SOC) serving men and women in the Armed Forces.
