Office of Accessibility
How to register with the Office of AccessibilityTo determine eligibility for services through the Office of Accessibility, you first must provide appropriate documentation to our office. You are encouraged to contact the Access Office early in the admissions process to ensure that you submit the necessary information. Services will be provided when documentation has been submitted and approved for eligibility. The process involves the following steps:
- Submit documentation of your disability from a qualified professional. The Access Office documentation guidelines are available upon request.
- You will receive a letter from the Access Office acknowledging the receipt of your documentation. The letter will indicate your next step in the process.
- Once necessary documentation is received, students should make an appointment with a disability specialist to discuss and determine eligibility and reasonable academic accommodations.
For eligible students, we encourage you to utilize the Access Office to the degree you feel necessary. We expect all students to demonstrate independent behavior and we work with students to develop these skills. We are here to assist students and encourage them to contact us at anytime. Please Note:
- For those eligible for services who have a dispute with a specific accommodation(s), please see the Dispute Resolution Procedure for Determination of Reasonable Accommodations.
- For those not eligible for services, if you would like to appeal the decision, please see the Dispute Resolution Procedure for Eligibility for Services.
