Resources for Adult Students

Summit College

The Summit College offers both associate and bachelor degree programs in many technical and vocational fields. For those who are already working in a field they like, Summit College offers the extra education and training needed to advance in the competitive workplace. The bachelor's degree programs include automated manufacturing technology and emergency management. The associate degree programs include just about every area of professional interest from medical assisting and Fire Protection Technology to Business Management Technology and Mechanical Engineering Technology.

An accelerated weekend degree program, now available in business technology, business management, community services technology, fire protection technology and criminal justice, allows adults to work during the week and attend college solely on the weekends. Individual courses are designed to be flexible to accommodate those with demanding outside obligations.

The college's certificate programs are designed to augment a student's existing education and experience and are offered in numerous areas, from Aging Services to Women's Studies. Many four- to eight-hour skill-building workshops and accelerated programs of study are available through Summit College and can provide needed continuing education credits many professions demand today.
