Your life and work experience may be worth credit toward a degree. The College Level Exam Placement (CLEP) is a national test and program that allows students to earn credit for what they already know. Contact UA's Counseling, Testing and Career Center at 330-972-7084 for more information.
Also, check with the dean's office at your chosen college. It may offer exams that will give you credit for life and work.
A student who passes an upper level course may automatically be given credit for the prerequisite courses he or she "skipped." Ask your dean's office or academic adviser for details.
The University has approved a three-year pilot program for Summit and Wayne College known as
Technical Experience Assessment (TEA).
Credit for military experience may be evaluated by requesting an “American Council on Education” (ACE) transcript. This transcript may be obtained online at
