Students are admitted to The University of Akron Graduate School for graduate study in any program
by the Dean of the Graduate School based on the recommendation of the department in which the
applicant wishes to pursue study. Students must follow standard procedures for admission to the
Graduate School. Online application for admission to the Graduate School should be made at least six
weeks before the start of the term for which admission is sought in order to allow adequate time for
complete processing. Every person who desires to enroll in, or audit, any graduate course must be
first admitted or approved by the Graduate School.
