A guest student is one who is currently attending another college/university and wishes to enroll at The University of Akron, then return to his/her home institution.
To be eligible for guest student status at UA, you must be in good standing at your home institution. It is recommended that you receive written permission from your home institution prior to registering at UA.

here. Registration for guest students is completed without assistance from an academic adviser.
Guest student status is valid for two consecutive terms. Additionally, if you decide to transfer permanently to UA, you will need to reapply as a transfer student, and submit all credentials and materials required for transfer admission.
If you plan to enroll at The University of Akron as a Guest student, please follow the application procedures listed below.
Complete and submit an Admission Application. You can
apply online or request an Admission Application from the Office of Admissions.

If you are applying as a Guest student for the 2008 summer semester, the $30 application fee is waived.
