International Admissions Financial Documentation

Financial Documentation

Estimated tuition, fees, and living expenses for international students are reflected on the Declaration & Certification of Finances (DCF) which is also included in the application packet. Applicants planning to enter the U.S on a F-1/J-1 student visa should sign the DCF if self-supporting. Your financial sponsor(s) should complete the DCF and attach an original bank statement or an official letter from an appropriate officer of the financial institution reflecting sufficient funding. Copies, including faxed copies are not acceptable. If your sponsor is a U.S. citizen or Permanent Resident, he/she must complete a Form I-134, Affidavit of Support available at: http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/I-134.pdf. This documentation is required for the issuance of the Certificate of Eligibility (I-20 A/B or DS-2019). To prevent delays in the issuance of this form, we strongly recommend that students submit financial documentation with the application materials. If you have any questions about financial documentation, you may e-mail oipfin@uakron.edu

If your spouse/dependants will be accompanying you, you must provide the following information for each person: Name, relationship to student, date of birth, city and country of birth, and country of citizenship. For each person, attach a copy of the passport information. If you are in the United States include a copy of the visa page and both sides of the I-94.
