At UA, we're not naíve enough to believe that drug or alcohol abuse isn't an issue on our campus. Peer pressure and a desire to escape stress can lead some vulnerable students into difficult situations.

However, UA adheres to the federal Drug Free Schools and Communities Act Amendments that prohibit the illegal use, possession, sale, manufacture or distribution of drugs and alcohol by all students and employees on UA premises or at UA-related events. We encourage each student to take personal responsibility and learn to say no. Help for drug and alcohol difficulties is available through our Counseling, Testing and Career Center.
