Students are encouraged to meet with their adviser on a regular basis. Since advisers do not keep their own appointment books, please call 330-972-7430 or come to the Academic Advisement Center to make an appointment with our front office personnel. The Academic Advisement Center is located in Simmons Hall, Room 205.

When contacting the Academic Advisement Center, please have the following information available:

• Your adviser's name. If you don't know who your adviser is, you can find out by looking on the Academic Advisement webpage or by asking the person who answers the phone to check the name for you.
• Your University of Akron Student ID number. This number is located on the back of your Zip Card.
• The days and times when you are available to meet with your adviser.
• Appointments can be made up to two weeks in advance.

Keep in mind that during registration periods, appointment times go quickly. Call early!!!
