Getting career ready

  • Use the Career Center for:
    • Shaping a career-development plan
    • Participation in a mock interview
    • Set up an informational interviewing
    • Attend one of our many programs designed to help you prepare for a Career Fair
    • Get information on internship/cooperative education search strategies
    • With our Career Center professional experts, devise a plan to land a job in a certain field or in a certain city
  • Attend the next Career Fair. Usually held once in the spring and the fall, the fair draws more than 100 employers, offering full-time and internship opportunities
  • Set up a LinkedIn account
  • Review our Career Link jobs database, which posts about 15 new opportunities (internship and full-time employment). You can also post your resume and/or portfolio to the site. Get started here.
  • Join a professional association related to your field of study
  • Build your professional network by completing a job-shadowing experience
    • Attending a networking event on campus or the local community
    • Doing an externship in your field of study
    • Meet the faculty in your specific program
