Bloomberg Businessweek has named The University of Akron’s College of Business Administration (CBA) among the nation’s best undergraduate business programs. UA’s business school ranks 98th on the 2016 Bloomberg list and in the top 50 among all public institutions. This marks the eighth consecutive year the CBA has been included on the list.
“We are delighted to be considered as one of the best undergraduate business programs in the country,” says CBA Dean Ravi Krovi. “It reflects the quality of our faculty, students, and programs, and the emphasis we place on professional development and career readiness.”
Bloomberg Businessweek’s “Best Undergrad Business Schools” rankings are compiled by surveying nearly 30,000 students and recruiters at almost 600 companies. There are four main metrics — employer surveys, student surveys, starting salaries and internships.
UA’s business school moved up 18 spots on the list from last year. The CBA’s best score came in the employer satisfaction metric, where it ranked in the top 30 of all public institutions.
UA’s College of Business Administration enrolls approximately 2,500 undergraduate and graduate students. It includes MBA and part-time MBA programs recognized among the nation’s best by U.S. News & World Report, CEO Magazine, and The Princeton Review. The CBA is accredited in business and has an additional, specialized accreditation in accounting by AACSB International. Less than two percent of business schools in the world have attained AACSB accreditation.
