Thomas E. Gilbert, BSCE '77, has visited more than 160 countries – and taken Zippy with him on more than 100 trips! In June, the Akron resident sported his Zips gear in Uganda, where he kayaked in Lake Victoria at the headwaters of the Nile River and tracked chimpanzees in Kibale National Park. Gilbert was honored as UA’s Engineering Alumnus of the Year in 2001.
Rep. Nicholas J. Celebrezze, BA ’00, proudly represented his alma mater during a recent trip to Israel, where he and fellow Ohio representatives, along with Speaker of the House Cliff Rosenberger, attended a trade delegation.
