Course Overview
This course will be offered as a three day presentation providing a basic overview of silicone technology and then focusing on medical elastomer product technology. It is designed to complement the newly published book authored by the presenter, "The Silicone Elastomer Handbook". Basic silicone chemistry will be presented along with various types of silicone elastomers, how they are formulated, crosslinked and utilized. This will then be followed by very specific medical silicone technology using practical know-how for everyday applications.
The Silicone Elastomeric Product Technology instructor, David Brassard, is the author of "The Silicone Elastomer Handbook". The book is an applied guide to silicone elastomer technology and is based upon the course. The book is not required course material, but is a helpful addition to the course information. The regular price for the book is $795.00 USD. Through APTC, the book is available for course attendees to purchase for $595.00 USD. You can purchase the book prior to or during the course.

Registration Information:
Registration for a class is due three weeks prior to the scheduled class date.
All registrations must be guaranteed by check, a purchase order number or a credit card, otherwise the registration will not be processed. Checks should be made payable to: The Akron Polymer Training Center and must include a copy of your completed registration form. COURSE FEES ARE DUE PRIOR TO ATTENDING.
All registrations whether by phone, fax or mail will be confirmed and considered binding and subject to all cancellation policies. If you do not receive a confirmation prior to the class, please call The Akron Polymer Training Center to verify your registration.
Course fee includes classroom instruction, instructional materials, parking permits and refreshment breaks. Travel and hotel accommodations are not included.
