ARCHAngels has a four-step process for connecting Entrepreneurs with Investors:

1. Initial Evaluation

Of the hundreds of interested applicants we evaluate each quarter, we select 10-12 to review more closely. We examine their Business Plan Summaries, which include information about:

  • Product
  • Value proposition
  • Target market size
  • Expected percentage of market share
  • Management team
  • Investment repayment plan

2. Review

The Deal Flow committee reviews the information and selects 6-7 companies to make a formal presentation in front of the committee in a closed meeting..

3. Deal Flow Committee Presentation

The selected Entrepreneurs are invited to make a 10-15 minute presentation to a committee of approximately 10-12 qualified and experienced community and business leaders. After the presentations, the committee selects 3-4 to present to the investment network at the next quarterly event.

4. Quarterly Event Presentation

The selected businesses present their plans at the quarterly event which includes investors, area businesses, students and professors, service providers, community leaders and other Entrepreneurs that are members of the ARCHAngel Network. Additionally, representatives from the other Angel Fund Networks and some Venture Capital company members attend.

ARCHAngels serves as a conduit through which Entrepreneurs and Investors are connected and an Entrepreneur may be selected by one of the Investors present, one of the other Angel Fund representatives may contact them for more information or an opportunity to present for their Deal Flow committee. They may be approached at the event or contacted at a later date.

ARCHAngels is providing Entrepreneurs with a priceless opportunity to present their plans and plant the seed in the minds of community leaders, business professionals and investors who, in turn, may be able to help or know someone who can. Wikipedia defines the process as follows:

Six degrees of separation refers to the idea that, if a person is one "step" away from each person he or she knows and two "steps" away from each person who is known by one of the people he or she knows, then everyone is no more than six "steps" away from each person on Earth.

If Entrepreneurs do not make an immediate connection they may have met someone who knows someone who can help!

What is a Deal Flow Committee and Who Are They?

A Deal Flow refers to a number of investments that a collective group of individuals evaluate with regard to potential investment. The ARCHAngels Deal Flow committee consists of about a dozen volunteer community leaders, investors, public service and business executives.
