Biography

Victoria Slonaker earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Cleveland Institute of Art in May 2000. Prior to working at the Myers School of Art at the University of Akron, Victoria has served as Assistant Director of Continuing Education at the Cleveland Institute of Art. There, she coordinated the Cuyahoga County Regional Scholastic Art Awards . Most recently, she served as Assistant Director of Admissions at CIA where she spent a plethora of time working one on one with students to help them strengthen their art portfolio for entrance into CIA. Much of her time in the Office of Admissions was also spent on the road traveling throughout the United States recruiting prospective students for CIA. She has also instructed young artist classes and family workshops at the Cleveland Museum of Art. Currently, she is putting her attention towards personal and professional career goals in addition to spending time producing new art work.
