Biography

Rachael Mundie teaches introductory Art History courses for the Myers School of Art, in addition to research methods and writing courses for other area universities. She received her master's in Art History, as well as a master's in Library and Information Science, from Kent State University. Her area of research is Italian Renaissance Art, with a focus on domestic art as a mirror for larger societal issues of the fifteenth century.

Rachael has presented papers at the Newberry Library Center for Renaissance Studies Graduate Conference, Midwest Art History Society Annual Conference, and was published in the Newberry Library's Conference Proceedings. She was the Kent State University graduate student representative for the Midwest Association of Graduate Schools Excellence in Teaching Award in 2011 and was nominated for a Distinguished Teaching Award at the Kent State University, Stark Campus in 2014.
