School of Music seeking All-Steinway designation
Only 102 music schools in the world have achieved the prestigious designation of being an All-Steinway School. Among them are Juilliard, Oberlin, Carnegie Mellon and Yale.
The UA School of Music seeks to join that select group, and has launched an All-Steinway Campaign to get there.
"The incomparable quality of handmade Steinway pianos signals excellence that attracts and inspires world-class students and professors," says Dr. William K. Guegold, director of the UA School of Music.
UA's All-Steinway Campaign seeks to replace 62 of the 83 pianos in the School of Music, some of which are more than 80 years old.
