Akhilesh Chandra and B.S. Vijayaraman

Akhilesh Chandra, accounting, and B.S. Vijayaraman, management, were among the co-authors of a paper titled “Integrating Oracle ERP Into Business Curricula: Challenges and Measurement of Student Outcomes,” which received a best paper award at the Accounting Information Systems Educator Conference and Training. The paper will be published this fall in a special AIS issue of the Review of Business Information Systems.

Lucinda Deason-Howell

Lucinda Deason-Howell, public administration and urban studies, co-authored a paper titled “An Examination of the Provision of Culturally Sensitive Care in Nursing Homes,” which received the Betty Jane Cleckley Minority Issues Research Award. The paper has been accepted for presentation at the American Public Health Association’s 130th Annual Scientific Meeting, to be held Nov. 10 to 14 in Philadelphia. Deason-Howell also has become a member of the United Way of Summit County’s Outcome Advisory and Logic Model Reviewer’s Committee, and will serve through June 2003. She also wrote a book review of “Africa’s Changing Markets for Health and Veterinary Services: The New Institutional Issues” that was published in the Journal of Sustainable Development in Africa, Volume 3, Number 2.
