The University of Akron community will gather today, Sept. 23, at 3 p.m. in the Student Union Theatre for convocation.

More than 80 faculty members, contract professionals and staff who have joined the University since Oct. 1, 2002 will be welcomed at the annual event, which will be presented by President Luis M. Proenza and Senior Vice President and Provost Elizabeth J. Stroble. Convocation is open to all members of the campus community.
