Parking Fine Information
Appeals
To appeal a citation: download the appeal form, complete it legibly, attach it as a cover sheet to your appeal, and return it to the Parking Office.
Parking Services will turn your appeal over to the judicial branch of Associated Student Government (ASG), who will adjudicate the appeal. When the adjudication is complete Parking Services will notify you of the decision. You will not be responsible for late fees (penalties) which acrue on appealed fines before the decision has been reached, and your vehicle will not be subject to immobilization for fines being appealed.

Coming To Buy A Permit?
All violations are enforced during the first week of each semester. Anyone parking on campus is expected to have their permit displayed on the first day of classes. Anyone visiting the Parking Office for the purpose of purchasing a permit may park in the gated visitor lot on Buchtel Avenue (directly across from the Parking Office) free of charge. If you do this, please bring the ticket that you received from the dispenser to the Parking Office for validation. If the visitor lot is full, then legal parking may be found at a meter in the small gravel lot across the street (Lot 27). Unfortunately, we cannot reimburse you for money used to feed a meter.
Online Fine Payment is Now Available
Just visit www.parkingticketpayment.com/akron to make your payment now. Unfortunately, a fee of $3.50 is charged per ticket paid through this site. If you wish to make a credit card payment over the phone and avoid this fee, call the Parking Office at 330-972-7213. Note: If you are on enrollment or transcript hold for parking fines then you will need to contact the Parking Office to have the hold removed after making your payment online.
