Improvements on the drawing board
Update (5/19/08) - Committees were convened to study two issues in more depth: parking for students living in residence halls (recommendation) and the expansion of the Roo Express shuttle service (recommendation, routes). These recommendations have been substantially approved and we are working to implement them for the fall semester.
The University is taking action to improve parking, but the resolutions will take time to implement. A task force has studied parking on campus and issued a series of recommendations. Among other points, the task force recommends that a 1,600-vehicle deck should be built, a shuttle service should be developed and a campaign should begin to encourage motorists to make better use of outlying lots. What has UA done in recent years to improve parking?
