ROO EXPRESS SHUTTLE ROUTES

The Roo Express Shuttle Service now has five routes.

  • The NORTH ROUTE stops at the Honors Complex, the parking lots north of campus and the Paul E. Martin University Center.
  • The EAST ROUTE stops at Rhodes Arena and makes a loop east of campus, down East Buchtel Avenue, back on Carroll Street, down Goodkirk Road and back up Spicer Street.
  • The SOUTH ROUTE stops at the Student Union, Summit Medical Building, University Commons, on Thornton Street, on Cross Street, on Power Street, at Hattie's Cafe, Buchtel Field, and Allyn Street.
  • The WEST ROUTE stops at the Student Union, Guzzetta Hall, Quaker Square, the Polsky Building, Exchange Street and the Exchange Street Residence Hall.
  • The DOWNTOWN ROUTES (not pictured above) stop at Rhodes Arena, the Exchange Street Residence Hall, the Honors Complex, Quaker Square and Canal Park.

NORTH: Honors Complex, North Parking Lots, Martin University Center

north route

On the NORTH ROUTE, the shuttle makes six stops:

  1. Greek Orthodox Church lot
  2. Martin University Center (front of building)
  3. Congregational Church
  4. College Street / Market Street
  5. College Street / Forge Street
  6. The traffic circle near the Honors Complex

The shuttle will operate on this route from 7:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. on weekdays, and from 10 a.m. to midnight on weekends. Here are the exact times when the shuttle will be at each stop (Excel file). The shuttle will not operate on holidays or when the university is closed.

EAST: Rhodes Arena, East Buchtel Ave., Carrol St. and Infocision Stadium - Summa Field

On the EAST ROUTE, the shuttle makes eight stops:

  1. At the traffic circle near the Rhodes Arena
  2. On Buchtel Avenue near Fountain Street (south side, at the Fountain View apartments)
  3. On Buchtel Avenue near South Adams Street (south side, at the Velvel Arms apartments)
  4. On Buchtel Avenue near East Market Street (south side, at the Buchtel Place apartments, north entrance)
  5. On Carroll Street near East Market Avenue (north side, at the Buchtel Place apartments, south entrance)
  6. On Carroll Street near Annadale Avenue (north side, at the University Rentals apartments)
  7. On Carroll Street (north side, at the Carroll House apartments)
  8. On Spicer Street (across the street from InfoCision Stadium - Summa Field)

The shuttle will operate on this route from 7:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. on weekdays. This shuttle will not run on weekends. Here are the exact times the shuttle will be at each stop (Excel file). The shuttle will not operate on holidays or when the university is closed.


SOUTH: Student Union, neighborhood south of campus

On the SOUTH ROUTE, the shuttle makes nine stops:

  1. The Student Union
  2. At Wheeler Street and Grant Street (southwest corner, at the Summit Medical Building)
  3. On Grant Street across from University Commons (west side)
  4. On Thornton Street between Sumner and Sherman Streets
  5. On Cross Street at the corner of Allyn and Cross Street
  6. On Power Street between Allyn and Kling streets (south side)
  7. On Brown Street at Rankin (east side, at Hattie's Cafe)
  8. On Wheeler Street between Brown and Kling streets (north side at Buchtel Field)
  9. On Allyn Street at Torrey Street (southeast corner)

The shuttle will operate on this route from 7:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. on weekdays. This shuttle will not run on weekends. Here are the exact times when the shuttle will be at each stop (Excel file). The shuttle will not operate on holidays or when the university is closed.


WEST: Student Union, Quaker Square, Exchange St. Residence Hall, and The Polsky Building

On the WEST ROUTE, the shuttle makes seven stops:

  1. At the traffic circle next to Guzzetta Hall
  2. at Quaker Square on South Broadway Street
  3. The Polsky Building on South High Street
  4. At 22 East Exchange Street
  5. At Gallucci Hall on Grant Street
  6. At Folk Hall on Wheeler Street (across from the Akron Innovation Campus)
  7. At the Student Union (just west of the entrance by the bank and the bookstore)

The shuttle will operate on this route from 7:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. on weekdays, and from 10 a.m. to midnight on weekends. Here are the exact times the shuttle will be at each stop (Excel file). The shuttle will not operate on holidays or when the university is closed.


DOWNTOWN: Rhodes Arena, the Exchange Street Residence Hall, the Honors Complex, Quaker Square, and Canal Park

On DOWNTOWN ROUTE ONE, the shuttle makes the following stops:

  1. At the traffic circle near the Rhodes Arena
  2. At the Exchange Street Residence Hall (in the lot between that building and Gallucci Hall to the south)
  3. At Canal Park downtown (in front of the ticket office on Main Street)

On DOWNTOWN ROUTE TWO, the shuttle makes the following stops:

  1. At the traffic circle near Honors Complex
  2. At Quaker Square (at the Broadway Street entrance)
  3. At Canal Park downtown (in front of the ticket office on Main Street)

The shuttle will operate on these routes from 8:00 p.m. to 2:15 a.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings. Here are the exact times the shuttle will be at each stop (Excel file). The shuttle will not operate on holidays or when the university is closed.
