BCAS faculty are currently the recipients of more than $7 million in competitively awarded grant funds to support their research, resulting in more than 350 publications a year.
The UA Alumni Association has recognized an Outstanding Teacher each year since 1974 and in those 35 years a BCAS faculty member has been selected 27 times for teaching excellence.
The BCAS is part of an 88 building campus on 223 acres.
In 2009 the average high school GPA and average ACT score of new first-year BCAS students were both the second highest of any college on campus, following only the College of Engineering.
UA has awarded more than 100,000 bachelors' degrees and over 3,200 doctorates.
From 2007 to 2009 undergraduate enrollment in the BCAS increased 19.6%.
