Central Stores serves the needs of the campus by:
* Assisting all departments throughout The University of Akron with their shipping and receiving needs.
* Committed to recycle/re-sell University owned materials and/or equipment, thus promoting maximum utilization of University resources.
* Oversees and coordinates shipping and receiving activities.
* Examines packages and compares them with purchase orders to verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipments.
* Deliver or route materials to departments.
* Pack and seal packages to prepare materials for shipping.
* Contact carrier representatives to make sphipping arrangements and to issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials.
