Parent Access to Financial Information



Who has access to a student's CashNet account?

• Anyone the student chooses to set-up in the Authorized User PINs section.
• The student will give them a login name and password.
• It is more secure if you do not let others do transactions with your login. Give them their own login and password in the Authorized User PINs section.

Can I give my parents access to my CashNet account?

• Yes, you may enroll them in the Authorized User PINs section for the payment process.
• The Authorized User can login at anytime to pay on the account.
• The Authorized User’s financial information will be secured to his login.
• The Authorized User may change his password and his email address in his login.

Can my parents access CashNet without going through ZipLine?

• Yes through direct access at CashNet or at the Student Accounts web site.
• Indirect link: http://www.uakron.edu/busfin/studentfin/paybycreditcard.php.
• Direct access: https://commerce.cashnet.com/AKRONPAY.

Is CashNet my only option for my parent to managing my student account online?

• Paying with a credit card or Electronic Check:
  • Credit card payments are only processed online through CashNet.
  • Electronic Check (eCheck) payments are only processesed online through CashNet.

What happens if ZipLine is down?

• You can still manage your account at the CashNet site.
• The balance you see will be the balance as of the start of the day.
• When ZipLine is back-up, CashNet will update your Student Account.
