Christina Ross is a graduate of The University of Akron with over 15 years of Human Resource experience within small and large organizations. 
She serves as the director for The University of Akron’s Career Advantage Network with a primary responsibility for the overall operation of the Career Center and the University's Career Advantage Network, including direct supervision of the career center liaisons, employer relations and other career service professionals in the academic colleges. She is committed to student success and has focused on leading a high-performing center and satellite offices as it engages University stakeholders and members of the surrounding community in career development, career transitions and career placement. 
Prior to joining The University of Akron, Christina was the Human Resource Manager for Associated Materials Inc. (AMI) and was directly responsible for the human resource strategy and direction for operations throughout the U.S., focusing on talent acquisition and talent management. She developed and executed org wide processes to support acquiring, developing and redeploying talent in an effort to build a talent pipeline across AMI. In addition, she revamped early career programs by creating career tracks, offsetting labor costs while deploying sustainable processes and tools to ensure top talent placement into critical roles with career ready competencies. In years prior, she worked for FirstEnergy in a variety of progressive roles including Corporate Recruiter, Talent Acquisition Program Lead and Human Resource Business Partner in which she advised senior leadership on industry best practices and managed continuous improvement projects and programs. 
Christina has a background in managing recruiting efforts such as early career placement, retention and workforce/labor gaps which have resulted in the creation of best in class models, increased placement and retention rates for the organizations that she’s has been part of.
