Cooperative Education
Student must
- Declared an undergraduate degree in the College of Business Administration;
- Admitted into the College of Business Administration;
- Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.3;
- Completed a minimum of 40 credits hours including Principles of Microeconomics and Accounting Concepts and Principles.
Internship
All students requesting internship elective credit must be admitted to the College of Business Administration and meet one of the following sets of criteria:
Accounting Majors must
- Completed or be enrolled in Accounting Information Systems (6200:320) and Intermediate Accounting during the semester you plan to interview (normally this is the fall semester);
- Earned a grade of B or better in 6200:201(Principles of Accounting I) and 6200:202 (Principles of Accounting II);
- Earned a passing score (65% or higher)on the School of Accountancy’s Pre-Internship Achievement Test (PAT).
Finance Majors must
- Have a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA;
- Completed, at a minimum, Corporate Finance (6400:301or 371) and Microcomputer Applications for Business (6200:250).
Management Majors must
- Have a minimum 2.7 cumulative GPA;
- Completed Management Principles and Concepts (6500:301) and a minimum of six (6) additional credit hours in one of the management majors.
Marketing Majors must
- Have a minimum 2.7 cumulative GPA;
- Completed Marketing Principles (6600:300) and a minimum of six (6) additional hours in one of the Marketing majors.
International Business Majors must
- Have a minimum 2.75 cumulative GPA;
- Completed two IB courses (6800) plus a minimum of six (6) additional hours in business courses.
Business Minors must
- Be in good academic standing within your degree-granting college;
- Have a minimum GPA outlined in the major requirements.
