The impact of my graduate studies on my professional and personal development has been significant. After working four years, I felt my career needed an adjustment and hoped pursuing a MBA in Entrepreneurship at the University of Akron would do that. Two years later, I feel that the decision was well worth it. Between my Industrial Internship with University Innovation Ventures (UIV) and the opportunities at the College of Business Administration, I could not have asked for a better experience. The coursework provided an excellent refresher to my undergraduate studies, and pushed me to apply knowledge I had not used in years. Working at UIV for those two years made it possible for me to try out the new things I was learning in class immediately, which was a rewarding experience. To top it off, I was able to visit Warren Buffet, hone my leadership skills, compete in several business plan competitions, complete an internship with a promising start-up and network with professionals and other highly qualified students throughout the region.
