The faculty represents the foundation of this institute and clearly sets The University of Akron apart from other colleges. I was profoundly impacted by a select few of my professors and I plan on remaining in contact with them despite the fact that I have graduated. The professors here genuinely want to see the students succeed and they go above and beyond to ensure that this happens. I was afforded the opportunity through one of the professors here to meet Mr. Warren Buffett, the world’s second richest man. This was truly a once in a lifetime opportunity for which I will always be grateful.

The professors realize that most students work and they will accommodate the students’ schedules when setting appointments even if those times do not coincide with their office hours. It was refreshing to be surrounded by professors who understand how the real world operates and can be flexible when working with students. The professors at the university at very approachable and want to know the students on a personal level, which makes them even more effective.
