Minors 

The College of Business Administration offers 15 minor areas of study. You may choose to do a minor to complement your major or to pursue an area of personal interest.  Minors consist of 18 to 24 credits, depending on the field. 

Guidelines for a CBA Minor

  • You may designate a minor at any time during your career, up to and including the time your degree clearance is processed.
  • In order to earn a minor, you must maintain a grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.0 in the minor area of study.
  • With the exception of internships, courses for a minor may not be taken credit/non-credit.
  • All credits must be earned. You must earn at least nine credits towards your minor at The University of Akron.
  • Courses required for a minor may carry prerequisites, which must be honored before you may enroll.
  • The minor will be placed on your record only at the time you receive your baccalaureate degree and only upon application to the Graduation Office in Simmons Hall, Room 120 (330-972-8300).
