


All business majors must fulfill the University's General Education Requirements, Pre-Business and Integrated Core Business Requirements. Also, many courses have credit-hour or course prerequisites which must be completed before enrolling in the required course. Please check the current University of Akron Undergraduate Bulletin for a complete listing of all course prerequisites.
The following courses are required of all students pursuing a degree from the College of Business. Many of the Pre-Business courses also fulfill General Education requirements. Students must have a GPA of 2.0 or higher in the Pre-Business courses to enter into and graduate with a degree in Business.
Either College Algebra or Calculus with Business Applications can also be used to fulfill the General Education requirement in Mathematics. Students' ACT scores will determine the appropriate starting point for the math requirement. All business students must complete both College Algebra and Calculus.
