Roy Dew is a senior IT security consultant for Antares Management Solutions, a wholly owned subsidiary of Medical Mutual of Ohio. Early in his career, Roy gained eight years of experience as an IT auditor. Later, he was Director of Technology for Developers Diversified Realty for ten years, and was responsible for their IT compliance during the first two years of the corporate Sarbanes Oxley compliance initiative. Roy recently completed the requirements for the ISO 27000 series Information Security Management Systems Lead Auditor certification by the International Register of Certificated Auditors. Roy is active in the Northeast Ohio ISACA chapter and has instructed the CISA review course over the past four years.
Dennis Barberic, Jr. is a Manager in the Business Performance Services practice of KPMG, LLP and a trained firm specialist in XBRL. He is responsible for leading client engagements targeting finance function process optimization, business performance management (budgeting, forecasting, and reporting), benchmarking, strategic cost reduction, business process outsourcing, and business intelligence system implementation. He has served clients in the utilities, manufacturing, high-tech, and financial services industries for more than ten years and has managed several projects leveraging the technology capabilities of business intelligence to meet financial reporting requirements. Dennis received a Master of Business Administration degree from Cleveland State University and Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Maine.
John is an Audit Manager in the KPMG LLP Cleveland office. He has over 5 years of experience providing financial statement audit and audit of internal control services in accordance with SEC, U.S. GAAP, and IFRS requirements. John has coordinated and assessed the SOX testing for public company clients since 2004, including the information technology controls. John has served as the manager of audit engagements in multiple industries including: Business Professional Services, Consumer Goods, and Manufacturing. John received a Masters of Accountancy degree and a Bachelor of Science in Business degree from Miami University.
Ken Stasiak is the founder, President, and CEO of SecureState, LLC, an information security management consulting and protection firm based in Cleveland, Ohio. SecureState handles security for a number of businesses and governmental agencies, including NASA, Key Corp, and National City Bank. Throughout his career, Ken has led and participated in many Attack and Penetration projects for a broad range of industries and governmental functions. Ken has served as an adjunct professor of information systems security at the University of Akron, and is sought after to speak at professional and academic conferences, including the Department of Homeland Security's Critical Infrastructure Congress as a Subject Matter Expert in Risk Assessment. He earned his BS in Accounting and an Associate's Degree in Computer Programming from the University of Akron.
Edward Goings is a Principal in the Forensic Technology Services (FTS) division of KPMG, LLP. He is responsible for developing the FTS line in the Midwest United States. He organizes forensic examination of computer systems and digital recovery projects. Prior to joining KPMG, Ed spent thirteen years on active duty in the United States Air Force Office of Special Investigations as a Computer Crime Investigator. As a Federal Agent, Ed participated in dozens of investigations on electronic data and subsequently testified in Federal Court. He also worked with the Air Force System Administrator on internal computer security. Throughout his career, Ed has worked with numerous global companies and has set up fraud control systems for a Fortune 500 company. Ed earned his B.A. in social and criminal justice from Ashford University, and is a graduate of the Air Force's Special Investigations Academy Special Agent Course.
