"Nothing happens until somebody sells something." The sales function generates the revenue that enables the rest of the corporation to operate. Jobs are abundant in the field of sales. Almost all of the graduates of the Sales Management Program pursue careers in industrial or business-to-business sales. They work at leading firms throughout the U.S. and in other countries. It has been estimated that almost 10 percent of the work force in the United States works in some form of selling.

There are more than 2,500 universities in the country, but only 13 offer majors in sales. Students in our sales major are well prepared for careers which begin in Professional Selling and often lead to positions in Sales Management and Marketing. Many of our graduates choose to continue working in Professional Selling throughout their careers because of the many opportunities which the field offers. Our sales program has a professional as well as a practical orientation. Our students develop skills which enable them to secure very attractive sales jobs upon graduation and to later become leaders within the corporate world.
