What is the minimum required score on the GMAT?

The Graduate Admission Committee prefers that applicants have a minimum GMAT score of at least 500. It is unlikely that applicants with scores below this threshold will gain admission. For those applicants with scores slightly below this level, it is possible to submit a petition to the Admission Committee requesting provisional admission. GMAT information is available at. www.mba.com

Is the GMAT the only test accepted?

Beginning Fall 2012, students who have taken the GRE, MCAT or LSAT may request consideration for admission based on those scores. A minimum score of 50% on all sections of the test is expected. Students holding a Masters, Doctorate or Juries Doctor from an American university may request admission based on the Master's degree. The student's overall application will be reviewed and the GAC reserves the right to require the GMAT for admission. If a student without a Masters or Doctorate has not taken a test, the GMAT should be taken. .

Does your University offer Conditional Admission for applicants without a GMAT score?

Generally, the College of Business does not offer admission without a GMAT score. The GMAT is a requirement of the AACSB, our accrediting institution. Applicants with a non-business undergraduate degree without a GMAT score may want to consider Non-Degree application. This allows the student to take a maximum of 9 credit hours of foundation coursework while they prepare for the GMAT. Please keep in mind that Non-Degree students are only eligible to be added to waitlists for the courses they are interested in. This is to give enrollment priority to degree seeking students.

How long will it take to complete the MBA/MSM/MSA/MTax Program?

The answer to this question varies from student to student. This is primarily dependent on two variables: 1) How many credits is the student required to complete; and 2) How many credit hours does the student intend to take per semester. The total number of required credit hours varies for each program and student due to the foundation courses. The foundation courses are either waived or required on an individual basis depending on the student’s background. This assessment is automatically done for all applicants. It is possible to request an unofficial transcript assessment in advance of applying. For more information, contact the Graduate Advising Office at 330-972-7043 or grad.cba@uakron.edu.
