Our students, alumni, friends, and business partners are a vital part of the CBA community and play an important role in the success of the CBA. We invite you to explore the many opportunities through which you can become involved in the life of the CBA and assist us in the attainment of our mission to prepare competent and responsible business professionals and leaders.
The CBA encourages students to become involved in student organizations. The college has nineteen active organizations, all of which provide opportunities for students to enrich their college experience and attain personal growth. Competitions and other organization activities allow students to develop new friendships, apply knowledge and skills gained in the classroom, enhance their leadership abilities, network with faculty, alumni and business executives, and even find jobs.
Whether you are looking for a full-time employee or an intern, the College of Business Administration and the Center for Career Management are eager to assist you in selecting the CBA student who is the best fit for your job opening. Our students are taught solid management, technological, and people skills, as well as ethical values and global perspectives, which are reinforced through application.
The CBA is very fortunate to have strong ties with the business community. More than 200 senior executives from regional businesses serve on our advisory boards providing their guidance and expertise and assuring that our curricula remain fresh, relevant and rigorous.
Each Fall semester, the CBA Alumni Association hosts the Professor for a Day program which brings alumni back to campus to share their knowledge and expertise by serving as guest instructors in CBA classes. Throughout the academic year, faculty members also invite business professionals to speak on selected topics in their classes. Our CBA Speaker Series brings corporate, academic and industry leaders to campus from around the country and the world to share their insights on current business issues and corporate strategies. These lecture programs not only complement and enrich our curriculum, but also promote and strengthen our relationships with the business community.
