The College of Business Administration (CBA) at The University of Akron offers the key to your success in business and in life.
Our accredited and nationally recognized academic programs combine basic theoretical principles with immediate applied practice, and provide our students with solid management, technological and people skills, ethical values and a global focus.
Our close collaboration with area businesses and organizations provides many opportunities for our students. Over 200 senior executives serve on our advisory boards and provide advice regarding business needs and practice which enables us to keep our curriculum current. Our students receive first-hand, practical insight from business leaders through guest lectures and our speaker series. They have the opportunity to obtain internships, as well as permanent positions, from top companies.

College Highlight
The CBA’s George W. Daverio School of Accountancy, a unit of the College of Business Administration, has been nationally ranked by the Public Accounting Report (PAR).
The PAR recently released its 28th Annual Survey of Accounting Professors (Vol. 33, No. 20, 2009) in which 1,921 accounting educators participated. The CBA’s Accounting Program was ranked No. 24 for undergraduate accounting education and No. 23 for graduate programs in accounting.
