Welcome to the CBA

The College of Business Administration (CBA) at The University of Akron offers the key to your success in business and in life.

Our accredited and nationally recognized academic programs combine basic theoretical principles with immediate applied practice, and provide our students with solid management, technological and people skills, ethical values and a global focus.

The college’s close collaboration with area businesses and organizations provides many opportunities for our students. Over 200 senior executives serve on our advisory boards and provide advice regarding business needs and practice which enables us to keep our curriculum current.

CBA students receive first-hand, practical insight from business leaders through guest lectures and our speaker series. They have the opportunity to obtain internships, as well as permanent positions, from top companies.

Our diverse student population provides a variety of cultural perspectives, and our facilities provide the latest teaching and learning technologies.

BusinessWeek magazine has named The University of Akron College of Business Administration (CBA) as one of the best undergraduate schools in the nation for the fifth consecutive year. The CBA is the only public university business program in Northeast Ohio recognized in BusinessWeek’s undergraduate rankings. This year, the magazine ranked only 124 programs out of more than 1,800 in the U.S. Full story
