This scholarship was established in 2006 by Kenneth E. Taylor in memory of his grandfather, Thomas H. Taylor Sr., who had a successful career in industrial sales as an employee, then owner of Broadview Heights-based Ohio Machinery Co., now known as Ohio CAT. The company is the authorized, exclusive distributor of Caterpillar equipment and engines throughout Ohio, northern Kentucky and southeastern Indiana. The Thomas H. Taylor, Sr. Scholarship Fund will benefit students in the College of Business Administration who are pursuing degrees in sales through the Ronald R. and Diane C. Fisher Institute for Professional Selling. As a member of the Fisher Institute's Executive Advisory Board, Mr. Taylor also hopes the scholarship will assist the Fisher Institute in its mission of attracting, educating and graduating quality students who are fully prepared for careers in professional selling.
Two awards of $2,500 each ($1,250 Fall and $1,250 Spring semester) are available.
