Ronald W. and Beverly J. Ocasek, alumni of The University of Akron, established this scholarship in 1998 to reward aspiring young business people who show definite promise of Christian service in the business community. The Christian Values in Business Endowed Scholarship provides tuition assistance to a student enrolled in the College of Business Administration. These scholarships are awarded to students who are active members of a Christian church in Summit County, who demonstrate an exemplary spiritual life and show definite promise of Christian service in the business community. Applicants should be students who maintain good academic records and receive a recommendation from their local pastor. To remain eligible, scholarship recipients must maintain a 2.5 grade point average at the University. Selection of the recipient will be determined by the College of Business Administration without regard to race, creed, color, sex or national origin.
