Evelyn Fahs Burkins established this scholarship in 2007 in recognition of the personal and professional success of her son, Kenneth Fahs Burkins, who earned a B.S.B.A. in Sales and Marketing at UA in 1975. He joined Akron Porcelain and Plastics Company and now serves as vice president of sales and marketing. He has been actively involved with the University, particularly in the marketing and sales program and the Fisher Institute for Professional Selling. The scholarship will be awarded to a sales or marketing major. The CBA Scholarship Committee, in concert with the Office of Student Financial Aid, will make selection. It will be based equally on academic merit and financial need, and leadership in college and community activities. The award is renewable provided the recipient maintains a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.4.
