As strong benefactors and loyal advocates of their alma mater, Roger and Judy Read have supported many areas of The University of Akron. For the Reads, students are a priority. The Roger T. and Judith A. Read Endowed Scholarship in Business Administration is the third scholarship award they have established at the University, and it supports junior and senior business majors who have maintained a grade point average of at least 3.5. Mr. Read has a long history of involvement with the CBA, having graduated from Akron with a B.S. in Management in 1963 and an MBA in 1966. In 1989, he received the college's highest honor, the Dr. Frank L. Simonetti Award. He is a current member and past chairman of the CBA Advancement Council. The CBA Scholarship Committee selects recipients.
