


The purpose of the SCSA is to bring together Graduate and Undergraduate students interested in the field of Supply Chain Management. SCSA will strive towards maximizing the educational experience of its members by providing a platform for events, discussions, professional guidance, and related activities. SCSA will work towards active student involvement in gaining an edge in the field of Supply Chain Management. SCSA will work towards guidance from professional organizations and bodies towards furthering our cause.
Supply Chain Professionals Night and Supply Chain Roundtable events are chances for students to meet one on one with local Supply Chain Professionals. It is a great way to network and learn more about Supply Chain in the real world. -Service Projects are performed by the group throughout the academic year as a way to help the community as well as get to know members better. -Speakers are regularly scheduled at meetings, where they discuss a variety of topics relevant to the organization. -Company Tours are an opportunity for SCSA members to tour plants and meet with professionals.
Membership in the SCSA is open to all interested undergraduate and graduate students who are University of Akron students and are in good standing with the university. This includes: maintaining at least a 2.0 GPA, being clear of academic probation or suspension, being clear of disciplinary probation or suspension, being clear of unsatisfied financial obligations to the university, and being in good standing as defined by the student's academic college or program. Anyone interested in joining is encouraged to email us for information about attending one of our meetings.
