The College of Business Administration at the University of Akron is inviting 23 interested high school sophomores, juniors and seniors to attend an exciting 2-day, overnight, and highly interactive experience designed to help high school students better identify and define what career and major possibilities await them.
This invitation goes to students who are thinking about college and who would benefit from exploring personal strengths, leadership skills, how they relate to potential career choices and with the added benefit of meeting leaders in those respective industries.
Students do not have to be committed to a major or minor in business to attend. Candidates only need to want to have a great time in exploring potential majors and career options while meeting extraordinary leaders and peers!
The program fee is WAIVED for all accepted applicants. We are offering this program to students who want to explore college and professional opportunities while enhancing their resumes. The Exploring Majors and Careers in Business Program will include:
Dates: Thursday, June 26th and Friday June 27th
Time: Thursday, June 26th Registration at 8:00 a.m; Program concludes on Friday, June 27th at 7:30 p.m (parents are invited to a closing reception from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. at InfoCision Stadium)
Location: The University of Akron, South Hall, Grant Street, Akron, Ohio

Enrollment is granted on a first-come, first-served basis. Once the 23 spots are filled, a waiting list is created. Students placed on a waiting list will be notified of their final placement status by June 22nd or before.
There is no cost to the family or student for this program. However, the costs of the resources and materials of this program are $400 per student. Students who register for this program and accept a space in the program (at no cost) will have 72 hours from the beginning date and time of the program to cancel their attendance. Failure to cancel 72 hours in advance makes the student/family subject to paying a $400 cancellation fee. This fee WILL NOT be assessed for students who attend the program. By registering for this program, student/family acknowledges that they have read, understand, and agree to these terms.
